Hair Loss & EXTREMELY Sensitive Scalp

I remember, when I was 14, I had asked my mom to cut my hair because I wanted a change and thought that my hair was too long.. BOOYYYY was that the biggest mistake i’ve ever made. Fast forward to today I STILL haven’t gotten back to that length. No matter how hard I try. I don’t cut it at all besides a few trims here and there.

What’s worse is that I think i may have a scalp infection. For the most part of my life I’ve always had this slight sensitivity in one part of my scalp. Until recently, when my WHOLE head felt that way and 10x worse. I could NOT even move my hair. I also think that the fact that I’m still recovering from a sty is connected to all of this. My hair used to be thick, full and curly and now it is thin, thinning and less curly. Don’t get me wrong it’s still curly but I’d love to get back to my coily ringlet curls.

This is why I’ve decided to go on a little journey, or you may say it’s an experiment. Either way, I’m trying new things in my hair. I will list all of the products I’ll be using, on the right.

Natural Products I'm Using

sodium borate, sodium tetraborate, or disodium tetraborate

also known as “laundry detergent booster”…
and another interesting tidbit, it’s in your eye contact solution.

Here’s an informative bit from the Borax Wikipedia page:

Borax was first discovered in dry lake beds in Tibet and was imported via the Silk Road to the Arabian Peninsula in the 8th century AD.
